Happy New Year
I've been on a break since 12/19, my 50th birthday! highly recommended. this weekend i'm off to Esalen for a short workshop. things will swing again 1/4/10 or so. in the pipeline are "sunlight" at Marin Theater, and TC's album project. we've been mixing and tracking additional sweeteners this month with TC. it's shaping up very nicely.

Technical details
in answer to questions about the technical process of recording and posting my daily improv log:
i'm recording at my grand piano, in my living room, with the street noise and cats running around. i won't say it's low tech, but compared to my professional standards i'm slapping this stuff together. i'm using a stereo AT825 mic through the stock pre's of my m-audio mobilepre. (which i DO NOT recommend as an audio interface, but i own it, and there it is...) recording to my laptop using Peak. I fly the audio into my desktop station, add a bit of eq and compression for the conversion to quicktime. make a quick movie of the still and audio in imovie. export as quicktime .mov. upload to my blog. it takes about 15 mins or so, once i've got it down.
